There are two components in this training package that can be used for training supporters and one that can be used to explain UTIs to consumers.

Consumer Training Package – Recognizing Signs and Symptoms of a UTI

  • Consumer Tool – Knowing What to Look for: Urinary Tract Infections (Narrated Slide Show)

 

Presentation

  • Choose the audience and training component (Component 1, 2, or 3 above)
  • Print the Supporter or Consumer Slide Show for that component as a handout and go through the printed slides with discussion.
  • Or, show the Supporter or Consumer Slide Show using a computer and a projector, TV monitor, or monitor with an internet connection (either downloaded onto your computer or directly on the website). Lead discussion as you show each slide.
  • For Components 1 and 2, print and give out the Supporter Fact Sheet and Checklist materials as handouts for discussion or self-study. 

Preparation

  • Review the materials for the training component
  • Print out/photocopy slide show, or
  • Set up equipment for showing the slide show
  • Print out/photocopy handouts.
